Cowboy Boots

  • Cowboy boots were designed  specifically for riding.
  • They were first made from tough cowhide.
  • These boots featured a Cuban Heel.
  • Their toes were pointed, slightly rounded at the tip.
  • The original designs had no laces.

The Western or Classic Boot:

classicThe Western or Classic design features a long shaft, at least mid-calf or taller. The toe is slightly rounded or square, and it has a 1-inch, angled heel.

The Roper Boot:

roperMore suited to rodeo work, this later design has a shorter shaft, a low squared-off heel, and a more rounded toe.
